The Gardens Casino recently completed a $90 million renovation to its facility in Hawaiian Gardens . The project, which began in March of 2014, spotlights The Gardens Casino’s dedication to provide an elevated gaming and dining experience to its guests.

The key component of the new casino was the construction of a state-of-the-art 200,000 square foot venue housing up to 100 new card tables, which brings The Gardens Casino’s total capacity to more than 300 tables. The two-story building also features special amenities, including a 12,365 square foot meeting and events space where The Gardens Casino will host a variety of public and private events.

“Our business keeps growing, so this expansion was designed specifically for our guests so that we can provide the premier gaming and dining experience in Southern California, ” said Ron Sarabi, general manager of The Gardens Casino. “The new casino provides our guests with a truly elevated experience, including more space, state-of-the-art card tables and amenities, two designated VIP areas and a diverse restaurant and bar all within our new building. ”

Led by Food and Beverage Director Peter Lydon, The Gardens Casino’s premium casual restaurant features a variety of cross-culture fusion foods. The menu touches on a variety of cuisines, ranging from Vietnamese and Thai to American, Mexican and Italian.

Well now you can add a terrific Sunday Champagne Brunch to the Garden’s list of offerings to its guests in their newly renovated restaurant.

The brunch runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and costs a modest $22 including free valet parking.

Brunch-goers can enjoy unlimited champagne, champagne mimosas, coffee, juice, or soft drinks, yes… unlimited.

The price also includes one choice from their large appetizer menu including Muesli or Oatmeal, and Jacks French Toast, which uses mouth watering Hawaiian French toast bread served with banana nut and finished with a Jack Daniels whiskey caramel topping.

Fruit Crepes with crème are also included, with your choice of strawberries, peaches, bananas, blackberries or blueberries drizzled with caramel, chocolate and candied walnuts.

Mexican Shrimp Cocktail Gardens Casino

Mexican Shrimp Cocktail

I had a large Mexican Shrimp Cocktail, all eight of them, in a martini glass filled with a jalapeno, cucumber, onion and cilantro cocktail juice, absolutely delicious.

My wife Cora had the Lobster Roll which was huge, filled with tender lobster meat, celery, green onions, and just the right amount of mayonnaise, all served on a fresh bolilo… with french fries of course…I ate most of them.

Other appetizer choices include Mushroom crepes, Lobster Benedict, Huevos Rancheros, Chilaquiles, Pork Porterhouse w/ Eggs, Fried Chicken, Lahina Pasta or Loco Moco.

The Loco Moco was amazing and included a Wagyu beef patty on a bed of white rice  with two eggs cooked to your liking topped with just the right amount of creamy brown gravy.

But wait there’s more!

Also included in the price is unlimited (yes unlimited) trips to their “action stations” which include an Omelette bar, a Prime Rib station and a Waffle buffet.

The Prime Rib was tender and juicy and they offered both raw and creamy horseradish, along with au-jus; vegetable and mashed potatoes complemented the Prime Rib nicely.

The chef made the waffle and omelettes to order with a large selection of toppings for the waffle and ingredients for your omelette.

And all this included free valet parking, making it a short walk from your car to the restaurant!

I highly recommend the Sunday Brunch at The Gardens Casino, the price is right, the ambiance is great, and the service is terrific.

With the renovation, The Gardens Casino added over 400 new jobs to its current workforce of more than 1,800 employees, serving as the largest employer in the City of Hawaiian Gardens and the surrounding area.

“With the opening of our new building, we provided even more jobs and financial support to our local citizens, charities and community organizations, ” Sarabi said.

“With a population of approximately 15,000 residents, The Gardens Casino is pleased to sustain the majority of the City of Hawaiian Gardens’ annual budget. Showing our support both physically and fiscally to our local community is extremely important to The Gardens Casino and we value our strong working relationship with the City of Hawaiian Gardens. ”

The Gardens Casino is committed to being a responsible corporate and community citizen and supports a number of local organizations including the ABC Unified School District, Tri-City Health Group, Children’s Hospital (Long Beach and Orange County), and Hawaiian Gardens holiday events and youth sports, among others.

The Gardens Casino welcomes guests to visit the new casino, and Sunday Brunch, for an elevated casino and brunch experience like no other in Southern California.
