Class of 2016 in ABCUSD Earned $23 Million in Scholarships and Grants

The Class of 2016 in the ABC Unified School District earned $23.2 million in scholarships and grants.  This total represents an increase in over $7 million since 2014. Superintendent Dr. Mary Sieu said, “We are always looking for ways for our students to be college and career ready. Finding additional resources for them at each of our High Schools’ College and Career Centers have helped us move forward.”

Artesia High School’s 319 graduates earned $3.9 million.  School acceptances included UC Berkeley, UCLA, UC Irvine, UC Santa Barbara, UC Sand Diego, UC Riverside, Arizona State University, American Musical and Dramatic Academy, Northern Arizona State University, CSU San Jose, CSU Dominguez Hills, CSU Fullerton, CSU Long Beach, CSU Los Angeles, CSU San Francisco, Cal Poly Pomona, CSU Humboldt, Manchester University, University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), University of Oregon, University of La Verne, University of Hawaii at Manoa, Johnson & Wales University, Providence, New York University, Tuskegee University, ITT Tech, Full Sail University.


Cerritos High School’s 536 graduates earned $3.6 million.  School acceptances included Princeton University, University of Pennsylvania, Stanford University, New York University, Rice University, UCLA, UC Berkeley, UC Davis, UC Irvine, UC Merced, UC Riverside, UC San Diego, UC Santa Barbara, UC Santa Cruz, USC, Amherst College, Brigham Young University, Cal Poly Pomona, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, CSU Channel Islands, CSU Dominguez Hills, CSU Fullerton, CSU Long Beach, CSU Northridge, CSU Sacramento, CSU San Francisco, CSU Dominguez Hills, CSU Los Angeles, CSU Humboldt, CSU San Marcos, CSU San Jose, Chapman University, California Institute of Technology, California Lutheran University, Case Western Reserve, Dickinson College, Emory University, Missouri University of Science & Technology, Occidental, Pepperdine, Purdue, Swarthmore College, UNLV, University of the Pacific, University of Texas, University of Houston, University of Illinois, University of Kentucky, Swarthmore College, University of North Dakota, University of Washington, Utah State University, Warner Pacific College, Washington State University.
