La Palma Intercommunity Hospital is hosting a free community education workshop Wednesday, September 14 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
The workshop is called Managing Your Medications and will be hosted by Daniela Um, Pharm.D.
Dr. Um is an expert in helping patients better manage their chronic health conditions through more appropriate use of medications. A graduate of the USC School of Pharmacy, she works with individuals and their physicians to optimize drug therapy and maximize outcomes.
Many people struggle to manage multiple prescription and over-the-counter medications they need to control a chronic health condition. If you are unsure about your medications, what they do, or how to use them, join our pharmacist at our informal workshop and get all your questions answered.
Medication errors caused at least one death every day and injured approximately 1.3 million people in the U. S. every year. Make sure you and your loved ones use your medications as safely and effectively as possible.
Registration is required, you may call 714.670.6025, space is limited, please register early.
The workshop will be held at La Palma Intercommunity Hospital Education Classroom, 7901 Walker St., La Palma, CA. 90623.
