CARE PACKAGE ITEMS NEEDED FOR TROOP OVERSEAS

The Los Angeles County Fire Department, the L. A. County Fire Museum, and Rossmoor Elementary School want to say thank you to our recently deployed local soldiers.

Our local Joint Forces Training Base in Los Alamitos recently deployed more than 900 California Army National Guard Soldiers overseas. They want to send them 900 care packages, one for each soldier.

From November 21 through Jan. 9, they will be collecting the following items: Gummy bears, Starburst, any hard candy that won’t melt, Frisbees, baseballs, cards, wrapped toothbrushes, toothpaste, socks, razors, toiletries, etc., or a letter to a soldier
