President of the Downey Rose Float Association, Sue England, presented the 2016 Rose Parade Float entry to Council this past Tuesday evening. England presented the city with a framed rendition of the 2016 design entitle ‘Exploring the Everglades’. Roberts commented,”2016 is the centennial of the National Park Service, so we dedicated our the float to them. We are one of the few floats that are actually honoring one of the parks in the United States.” The Downey Rose Float Association will be hosting many fundraisers this year, for more information contact Sue England at www.downeyrose.org
