La Mirada’s annual Stroll in the Park will be held Thursday, July 30 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Creek Park. Come out and enjoy live music, food, games, and fun at one of La Mirada’s most popular events of the summer.
“This free event is fun for all ages and allows residents to stroll through Creek Park and hear performances from three live bands,” says Community Services Director Lori Thompson.
“Kulayd” will be playing a variety of Doo Wop and Motown, “Loa Greyson” will play Island Soul music, and the “Iliana Rose Band,” will feature Latin Jazz.
Crafts and face painting will be available for children to enjoy. Community members are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets. A variety of food will be available for purchase.
Stroll in the Park is sponsored by the City of La Mirada and Supervisor Don Knabe. This event is pet friendly with a pet adoption sponsored by Los Angeles County Department of Animal and Care Control.
Creek Park is located at 12021 Santa Gertrudes Avenue. For more information, contact La Mirada Community Services at (562) 943-7277.
