The public is invited to join with the parishioners of St. Irenaeus Church in Cypress as they celebrate their 51st St. Irenaeus Annual Fiesta on Friday, June 26, Saturday June 27, and Sunday June 28, 2015, at 5201 Evergreen Avenue, Cypress. Fr. Patrick Moses, Pastor of St. Irenaeus Parish, said that the Annual Fiesta is one of the best activities at St. Irenaeus Parish as a big fundraiser and community building parish event. He said that the Fiesta offers a great opportunity to come together as a community and meet with old and new friends while enjoying the outdoors surrounded by music and entertainment. Everyone can enjoy participating in the games, carnival rides, food booths, Bingo games, silent auction and trying to win the $10,000 winning ticket and other drawing prizes.
According to Christine and George Welsch, Co-Chairs of the Annual Fiesta for their 11th year, all registered parishioners were sent a book of 40 tickets at $2.00 each, totaling $80 for one book of tickets. They said that it is important that all parishioners support the Fiesta by selling their one book of tickets so that the Fiesta will be successful as a fundraiser. If parishioners did not receive their book of tickets, they can contact Christine Welsch at 714-553-9910 for tickets, or purchase tickets after Masses in the patio area of the church starting on April 19, 2015.
The parish will sell raffle tickets with a Grand Prize of $10,000 to be drawn on the evening of Sunday, April 28th between 9:00 and 9:30 p.m. Besides the Grand Prize, the winners of the 1st prize of $3,000, 2nd Prize of $1,500 and 3rd Prize of $500 will also be announced at that time. The winners of all the drawing prizes need not be present to win.
