Hews Media Group-Community Newspaper has learned exclusively that two men have been arrested in the connection of the brutal murder of a California State University Northridge student from Saudi Arabia whose lifeless body was found off the 10 Freeway in Palm Desert on Friday.

Abdullah Abdullatif Alkadi, 23, disappeared back on Sept. 17 at his home in Northridge, and his remains were found just before midnight off the 10 Freeway east of Cook Street in the upscale desert community.

A source close to the case told HMG-CN late Saturday night that the two suspects were conducting a large cash transition with the victim that involved the purchasing of a car from an on line social networking web site.

Both suspects are currently detained Men’s Central Jail in Downtown.

HMG-CN has also learned that a third suspect is involved in the case and that law enforcement officials are aware of who the suspect is and that they are in the process of finding that individual.

Abdullah Alkadi was one of seven siblings and had been studying in the U.S. since 2010, and comes from a well-known family in Saudi Arabia.

The body is expected to be flown back to Saudi Arabia on Thursday.

LAPD Chief Charlie Beck is expected to hold a media briefing on Monday about the case.

HMG-CN has also learned that the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office is evaluating the case and that possible death penalty charges be made in the matter.
