Deputies with the Lakewood and Cerritos Sheriff’s Stations have detained a possibly armed male adult suspect at South Street and Norwalk Boulevard in Artesia on Friday morning, Hews Media Group-Community Newspaper has confirmed.
Details of the situation are still being gathered, and several ground units as well as air patrol were deployed to the area.
According to Lt. Richard Harpham of the Cerritos Sheriff’s Department the situation “ended quickly” and law enforcement officials are attempting to determine if the suspect had or disposed of a gun.
