Members of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Department are searching for clues in the shooting death of Cerritos resident Tauruson McMillan who was shot a week ago last Saturday, while driving his car in Compton.
HMG-CN has learned that an unknown assailant pulled up next to Tauruson’s car and began firing.
He died at the scene. Sheriff’s Department investigators are interested in talking with anyone who may have witnessed this crime.
Tauruson had accepted employment late last year as a sanitation engineer with the City of Pasadena. He had also recently started a second job as a tow truck driver. His future goal was to become a fire fighter and he had been studying for this for the past several years.
Tauruson is survived by his long time partner, Mary Johnson, in addition to a younger and older sister. Donations to offset funeral costs are welcomed, and can be sent to Mary Johnson via Los Cerritos Community News.
