UPDATE: Time Warner Cable Continues Talks with CBS

UPDATE:  Both parties (CBS and Time Warner) have issued a statement that the talks had resumed at around 11 p.m. PST.  Stay Tuned.

THIS IS BREAKING NEWS!

In a stunning move, Time Warner Cable has announced that it was removing local CBS stations in  Los Angeles,  New York and Dallas as well as Showtime and three other CBS cable lineups nationwide because of a fee dispute, on Monday night.

TWC said in a statement that “outrageous demands for fees by CBS Corporation forced the cable operator to remove several of its networks and broadcast stations from our customers’ lineups.”

In Southern California, KCBS-TV and KCAL-TV will come off of Time Warner Cable systems.

In New York, WCBS-TV will go dark along with WLNY-TV, which is also owned by CBS.

Other CBS media properties that will be dropped by Time Warner Cable include cable channels Showtime and CBS Sports Network.
