The case began after a journal of Mandy Morales was found at the school which had detailed an ongoing sexual relationship with a student.
The victim had fathered a child with Morales over a relationship that had spanned over two years, which began when the boy was 16-years-old.
Morales worked at the McKinley Children’s Center, at Canyon View School that is located in San Dimas.
Morales has been placed on administrative leave since her arrest.
The case has caused an uproar within the education confines throughout the San Gabriel Valley.
The arrest was made at her residence where she was taken to the San Dimas Sheriff’s Department and booked for unlawful sexual intercourse. She posted $50,000 bail and was earlier released.
Morales was arraigned earlier today at Pomona Superior Court, 350 West Mission Blvd. in Pomona.
