BREAKING: Man shot, suspect flees in hotel room shooting on Pioneer Boulevard

Members of the Lakewood Sheriff’s Department are on scene on Pioneer Boulevard this afternoon investigating a shooting that involved two male adults.
Sgt. Gregg Knapp told Los Cerritos Community Newspaper that the shooting took place at the Rodeway Inn shortly after 12 p.m. inside one of the hotel rooms.
One victim, who is only being described as a male black adult has been taken to an area hospital. Knapp said his condition is not known.
Sheriffs are also looking for a suspect who is only described as a male black adult.
The location of the shooting was at 11800 block of Pioneer Boulevard. Several members of law enforcement have converged on the scene.
Los Cerritos Community Newspaper will have additional details on the shooting throughout the day.
