La Palma Police Detectives are investigating the death of Michael Melia, a 42 year-old Anaheim resident found in La Palma on Wednesday.
“On October 24, 2012, at 3:23 p.m. the La Palma Police Department was contacted by the Orange County Fire Authority concerning an unconscious male found in a car parked at the Brookside Apartment Complex, 5600 Orangethorpe, La Palma. Paramedics determined that Mr. Melia had been deceased for several hours,” said La Palma Police Department Sergeant Raul Morales.
Morales also told Los Cerritos Community Newspaper that “La Palma Police located the registered owner of the vehicle, Rogelio David, a 44 year-old resident of La Palma. Mr. David told Police he was a life coach caretaker for Melia and Police believe that Melia had been in Mr. David’s care. There are no indications of foul play at this time and the investigation is ongoing.

I am curious if there is an update on this. The latest version of The Source, which is the La Palma Police Department Community Newsletter just came out and there is no mention of the death of this man in the police log. They mention an attempted burglary, two burglaries, and one stolen taxi that happened between October 12-22.
