Armed Home Invasion in Bellflower Leaves Two In Custody, One Suspect Wanted

An armed home invasion robbery in Bellflower on Friday night has resulted in the arrest of two individuals late Friday night.

The incident unfolded after Lakewood Sheriff Station deputies responded to the 9100 block of Mayne Street to a “burglary in progress call.

When deputies arrived at the residence, the victims were exiting the front door. They told the deputies three male black suspects, armed with handguns, exited the residence through the backdoor and scaled the rear fence into an adjacent yard on Olive Street, the spokesperson

Preliminary investigation revealed the suspects may have followed one of the victims (a female adult) home from a casino. Deputies learned that the suspects made entry into the residence and duct-taped the victim’s hands. The suspects were in the process of the armed robbery when deputies arrived, causing the suspects to flee.

A containment of the area was quickly established and a Sheriff’s helicopter responded to assist in the search for the three suspects.

Two suspects were located within the contained area. With the help of a Sheriff’s search dog, two handguns which are believed to have be used in the home invasion were recovered within the containment area.

The third suspect has not been located.
