St. John Bosco High School to Hold Dedication for Panish Family Stadium 

 

Bosco Football Prepares for Opening Game with Stadium Dedication

 

What: St. John Bosco High School will host a dedication for the Panish Family Stadium. The dedication will include a blessing with holy water by Father Nick Reina, Director of St. John Bosco High School, and opening remarks from St. John Bosco High School administrators, donors, and coaches.
When: Tuesday, July 24, 6 p.m.

·      6 p.m. – Stadium Open to Fans

·      6:30 p.m. –  Speakers and Stadium Dedication

Who: ·      Following opening remarks by Bosco President Dennis Mulhaupt, Head Football Coach Jason Negro, and Lead Donor Brian Panish, Father Nick Reina will bless the new field as Bosco athletes, supporters, and long-time fans watch from the stands.

·      Speakers will be available for one-on-one interviews on the field:

o   Dennis Mulhaupt, President of St. John Bosco High School,

o   Father Nick Reina, Director of St. John Bosco High School,

o   Monty McDermott, Director of Athletics

 

Why: The Panish Family Stadium, named for lead philanthropist and alumnus Brian Panish ’75, will be the site of Bosco’s opening football game on August 17 against Timpview High School. The $7.2 million dollar stadium, financed solely through the generosity of Bosco alumni and parents, will seat 5,000. The home side features both reserved mid-field stadium seats and general admission seating, as well as designated seating for Bosco students and marching band. The scoreboard spans 30 feet wide and has a state-of-the-art LED video board display and lighting system. The stadium has no running track, promising fans an exciting vantage point and an intimate game experience.
Where: The dedication will take place at Panish Family Stadium at St. John Bosco High School,  13640 Bellflower Blvd., Bellflower. Park in the main parking lot, and proceed to the stadium.
