Actress Kaitlyn Jenkins headlines as Grand Marshal at popular event that originated as way to generate neighborhood pride. Saturday, October 19th from 11:00am to 2:00pm
(Norwalk, CA) The 30th Annual Arturo Sanchez Sr. Halloween Parade rolls through Norwalk on Saturday, October 19th – start time 11:00 a.m.
Actress Kaitlyn Jenkins, a Norwalk native who plays Bettina ‘Boo’ Jordan on the ABC Family drama “Bunheads,” will serve as honorary Grand Marshal.
In addition, the parade will feature marching bands from throughout the southland, musical groups, local service organizations, businesses, and dignitaries. The event is named in honor of Arturo Sanchez Sr, a community leader and volunteer who organized the first parade on the south side of Norwalk to boost neighborhood pride.
The parade begins at the intersection of Pioneer Boulevard and Mapledale Street and concludes at Hermosillo Park. Residents are invited to be a part of this long-standing tradition by dressing up in their favorite Halloween costume and marching in the parade in front of thousands of spectators. A costume contest will be conducted at the corner of Pioneer Boulevard and Mapledale Street beginning at 9:15 a.m.
