Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide detectives responded to the 6100 Block of Pioneer Boulevard in Unincorporated Whittier late Sunday night to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a man.
“The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead,” confirmed Deputy Tony Moore in a statement to the media just after midnight Labor Day morning.
