in He Said, She Said
at the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts
on Fri., November 1, 8:00 PM

CERRITOS, CA – Get ready for a night of bellyaching laughs as the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts (CCPA) welcomes comedy legends Louie Anderson and Rita Rudner in HE SAID, SHE SAID on Friday, November 1 at 8:00 PM. Tickets start at $60. The two will perform individually.
A three-time Emmy winner, LOUIE ANDERSON was named by Comedy Central as “One of 100 Greatest Stand-Up Comedians of All Time.” His career has spanned more than 30 years, and the host of the popular television game show Family Feud produced and created the acclaimed animated series Life With Louie, based on his childhood and his life with his father. Anderson’s role as the matriarch in the hit FX comedy series Baskets won him an “Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series” Emmy Award.
The one-time counselor to troubled children debuted in 1984 on the Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Other shows quickly followed, including The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, Late Show With David Letterman, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, and Comic Relief. He starred in the sitcom Grace Under Fire; the dramas Touched by an Angel and Chicago Hope; and the hit comedies Coming to America and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.
The comedian is also a best-selling author of Dear Dad –
Letters From an Adult Child, a collection of letters to his late father; Goodbye Jumbo…Hello Cruel World, a self-help book for those who struggle with self-esteem issues; and The F Word, How to Survive Your Family. His latest work, Hey Mom, pays tribute to his late mother, whom he has channeled in his stand-up routine for decades.
RITA RUDNER’s humorous comedy routines have earned her
national acclaim, legions of faithful fans, and multiple honors. Honored with an American Comedy Award for being the funniest female stand-up comic, Rudner is known for her hilarious shtick about men, life, and relationships.
At age 15, while pursuing a career as a Broadway dancer in New York, Rudner appeared in the original productions of Follies and Mack & Mabel. She quickly transitioned from dancing in the chorus line to doling out punch lines. Inspired by comedians Jack Benny, Woody Allen, and Bob Newhart, Rudner developed her signature brand of neurotic comedy.
Her first big break came in 1988 when she appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her unique sassy blend of comedy won over fans and critics and inspired the acclaimed HBO specials Born to Be Mild and Rita Rudner: Married Without Children.
Since 2000, Rudner has been a steady favorite in Las Vegas, firmly securing her title as the longest-running solo comedy show in the history of Sin City. Named Las Vegas’ “Comedian of the Year” nine years in a row, Rudner also received The Nevada Ballet’s “Woman of the Year” Award in 2006.
The funny lady also wrote the novels Tickled Pink and Turning the Tables and the bestselling non-fiction books I Still Have It…I Just Can’t Remember Where I Put It and Naked Beneath My Clothes: Rita Rudner’s Guide to Men, which earned a Grammy nod for its audio version.
