Country Music Legend Emmylou Harris
Comes to
the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts
on Thu., October 3, 8:00 PM

“One of music’s greatest song interpreters.” – Nashville
Tennessean

CERRITOS, CA – The Los Angeles Times recently noted the
“angelic purity of her voice,” calling EMMYLOU HARRIS “an
artist to whom listeners can turn without knowing how to classify her music, but secure in knowing their time won’t be wasted on
frivolity.” The Country Music Hall of Famer is set to grace the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts (CCPA) on Thursday, October 3 at 8:00 PM in a concert filled with her greatest hits. Tickets start at $80.
Harris shook up Country radio in the 1970s and established
herself as the premiere songwriter of a generation. The Billboard Century Award recipient holds 14 Grammys – including one for “Lifetime Achievement” – for the timeless hits Old Yellow Moon, Red Dirt Girl, Two More Bottles of Wine, Boulder to Birmingham, Same Old Train, and Wrecking Ball. In a career that has spanned more than four decades, the singer-songwriter has recorded more than 25 albums and was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2008.
Harris has recorded with a diverse spectrum of talents,
including Linda Ronstadt, Daniel Lanois, Bob Dylan, Mark Knopfler, Neil Young, Gram Parsons, Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Roy Orbison, Ryan Adams, Beck, Elvis Costello, Johnny Cash, Lucinda Williams, Lyle Lovett, and, most recently, Rodney Crowell.
