By Brian Hews

I’m a huge Game of Thrones fan, my daughter introduced me to the show three years ago and I had to binge watch the first three years to catch up.

So when I was alerted to a play at the Hudson Theater that was called a “musical parody” on the Game of Thrones I had to go see it.

And I was not disappointed.

The Hudson is located in West Hollywood, and not only houses a theater, but also a café that serves food, great coffee, and wine so you can go earlier to eat.

The Hudson Theater is a very intimate venue seating approximately 50 to 60 people and you are right on top of the stage, which is probably only 30′ x 10′ wide.

No problem with sound in the theater.

If you are a fan of Game of Thrones you must go see this play and be prepared to laugh and laugh hard.

Written by Chris Grace, Zach Reino, Al Samuels, Nick Semar and Dan Wessels, choreography by Kimberly McVicar and directed by John Flynn, Thrones moves smoothly through the episodes and years of Thrones with six actors working their butts off acting out 51 roles.

As Leslie, Jen, Ross, Brad, Tom and Nicole gather for the season finale of “Game of Thrones, ” they soon find out the ultimate travesty, that Leslie does not watch the show.

Over the course of the next 90 minutes, the group bands together to act out all six seasons, including dashing men battling White Walkers, ravishing women riding fire-breathing dragons, the infamous Walk of Shame, all in a hilarious manner.

Be warned there are some X rated acting maneuvers and language (no nudity) but what would you expect from a parody on the Game of Thrones?

The Hudson is located at 6539 Santa Monica Blvd. in West Hollywood. Performances are Thursday, Friday & Saturday at 8pm, Sunday at 3pm.

Thursday, Friday, Saturday tickets are $40.00, Sunday $35.00.

The show was extended and will run until Jan 2, 2017.
