From East Los Angeles Sheriff’s:
The victim was stopped in his car at the intersection of Garfield and Gage waiting for the light to cycle, as 4 young male Hispanics were walking crossing the street. As they reached the victim’s vehicle, they began to display gang signs at the victim. One of the suspects ran to the victim and pistol whipped him. As they ran away, the same suspect turned back and fired one shot striking the victim. The victim was transported to the hospital. The suspects are still outstanding.
