Frontier Representative at June 9 Cerritos City Council Meeting

Staff Report

After several articles in HMG-CN that triggered hundreds of calls into the newspaper’s office, along with an editorial by HMG-CN Publisher Brian Hews blasting the Cerritos City Council for their lack of action, finally, two months after the problems started, a representative from Frontier Communications will attend the June 9 City Council meeting “to address ongoing service issues that residents and businesses have been experiencing since the company purchased the Verizon telephone landline and FiOS systems earlier this year.”

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the Cerritos City Council Chambers located at 18125 Bloomfield Avenue in Cerritos.

Residents can arrive early and fill out  “speaker cards” that will allow a 5 minute window to speak to the Council and Frontier, 10-15 minutes after the meeting starts, to let them know what you experienced with the services.

Residents can also give a card to another resident, transferring their 5 minute speaking window to them for a total of ten minutes.

In addition to addressing the City Council regarding ongoing service issues and steps that are being taken to resolve these problems, Frontier Communications will also have customer service representatives on site to meet customers and assist them with their service issues.

For more information, please contact the City’s Communications Division at (562) 916-1320.
