Staff Report
In conjunction with the 57th Assembly District College & Career Fair, high school seniors are invited to participate in the 57th Assembly District Essay Contest. Three winners will each be awarded a $1,000 scholarship.
Participants must be scheduled to graduate in spring of 2016 and attend a high school in the 57th Assembly District. Students must be present at the College & Career Fair on September 19 at La Puente High School to accept the scholarship award.
All essays must be submitted no later than September 10, 2015.
California’s 57th Assembly District includes the cities of Industry, La Habra Heights, La Mirada, La Puente, Norwalk, Santa Fe Springs, South El Monte, Whittier and the unincorporated communities of Avocado Heights, and Hacienda Heights.
