WHITTIER (CNS) - About two acres of brush were burning today in
Whittier, but no structures were threatened, authorities said.
Firefighters were sent to the area of Mar Vista Street and Colima Road
about 10:10 a.m., said county fire Capt. Keith Mora.
Reports from the scene indicated that the flames jumped a fire road, and
the fire was burning uphill in a canyon.
