LOS ANGELES – Los Angeles County Democratic Party Chair and California Democratic Party Vice Chair Eric C. Bauman released the following statements regarding the March 3, 2015 Los Angeles County municipal elections:
Los Angeles City Council, District 2
“On behalf of the Los Angeles County Democratic Party, I congratulate Paul Krekorian on his re-election for LA City Council, District 2. I know that he will continue his great work on behalf of the district and remain a progressive voice that will benefit all Angelenos.”
Los Angeles City Council, District 6
“The hard work that Council Member Nury Martinez has accomplished on behalf of the families of the San Fernando Valley paved the way for her victory tonight. The Los Angeles County Democratic Party is proud to continue to stand with someone who fights so hard for Democratic values and who will continue to advocate for working men and women throughout the Valley.”

“The Los Angeles County Democratic Party celebrates the passage of Charter Amendments 1 and 2. Angelenos recognize that civic engagement is the cornerstone of our democracy. We believe our democracy is best served when the greatest possible number of voters are engaged, and adjusting the Los Angeles City elections to coincide with Presidential and Gubernatorial elections is the best way to increase voter participation and ensure that every voice is heard at the ballot box.”
