A member of the Montebello Unified School Board of Education posted a photo of his minor son standing at a urinal at Dodger’s Stadium on June 15, 2014.

Montebello School Board Member Edgar Cisneros took to the social media site and uploaded the controversial image last Sunday.

One fellow social media friend who identifies himself as Enrique Vegas questioned Cisneros with the following comment:

“Dude! Why?? Lol!”

Cisneros responded with the following comment about his son’s photo that read:

“Haha. Field level seats and the Dodgers played nowhere near as good as this piss my kid took so this was the best pic I had to post Enrique Vega.”

HMG-CN published a photo of the image and the comment via a screenshot that was obtained on Wednesday afternoon. Cisneros’ Facebook page is open to the public.

According to Cisneros’ bio he touts himself as a supporter to our local youth in their athletic and academic pursuits by volunteering as a mentor for the Montebello Unified School District’s “College Bound Today” program; as an advisory board member for the East Los Angeles Community Youth Center; and as a volunteer youth sports coach.

Here is a link to Edgar Cisnero’s Facebook Page.  It appears that the post was taken down by Cisneros just minutes after HMG-CN posted this article on line.

This article is at the height of misconception, I condemn this “news”.

I know Edgar personally, and I can say he truly cares about the well-being of those who surround him, especially his children.

He’s been a terrific father and husband, that being said, it’s inappropriate to portray him as something else.

I’ve also had the opportunity to work with Edgar on a professional level and I can say that, because he cares about education, he’s been very involved with the schools of Montebello Unified, whether it’s attending a parent meeting, visiting a classroom or participating with students in an extracurricular activity, Edgar’s been there because HE CARES!

I find it uncalling to negatively judge a person because of an image who’s purpose was to be comic of a situation.

The image does not advocate drugs or crimes nor does it involve nudity, obscenity or child pornography. This article has been deeply misconstrued to portray Edgar in a negative. That’s deception and it’s wrong!

    I stand with Boardman Cisneros.

      @ Johncito Peraza
The taking of pictures of little boys in the bathroom is perverted.

And yes, even perverts can care about education. Schools are a good place for perverts to hang out.

And yes, even perverts can be considered good people, especially among other perverts.

And besides the child porn industry what profession considers taking pictures of little boys in the bathroom professional?

Brian and Randy, please try to get a comment from LA Supervisor Gloria Molina regarding the behavior of her Senior Field Rep. Edgar Cisneros. Ms. Molina is a wise lady and I can’t believe she would approve or condone any member of her staff engaging in exposing a small boy on Facebook and then making a joke about it. I hope she fires him, the tax payers deserve better.

I also wonder what Supervisor Molina’s position on this is. Why You Are The Company You Keep—It is apparent that Board Member Cisneros keep friends who view Filipono WOMEN as MAIL ORDER BRIDES!!! This racist and ignorant stereotyping is degrading. In defense of Board Member Cinseros, one of Mr. Cisneros’ friends referred to my infant daughter’s mother as a Mail Order Bride. Despite Cisneros’ “group thinking”—–here is what the New York Times says— “A century ago, most Asian-Americans were low-skilled, low-wage laborers crowded into ethnic enclaves and targets of official discrimination,” the study said. “Today they are the most likely of any major racial or ethnic group in America to live in mixed neighborhoods and to marry across racial lines.”
      According to the Pew Center—
Asians have surpassed Hispanics as the largest wave of new immigrants to the United States, pushing the population of Asian descent to a record 18.2 million and helping to make Asians the fastest-growing racial group in the country, according to a study released Tuesday by the Pew Research Center.

****Many of these Asians and Filipinos legally reside in Ms. Molina’s District.

Supervisor Molina most also be mindful of the staff members she keeps on her payroll.

Supervisor Molina should represent ALL people, regardless of their particular race.

We have heard of the plight of Mexican immigrants and their struggles. Now, many who have supported (rightfully) supported the movement degrade other ethnic groups who are immigrating to the United States. The immigrants desire to further their education—-A Montebello School Board Member is supported by his FRIENDS who stereotype Filipina’s as MAIL ORDER BRIDES and are of the belief that there is nothing you can do to Cisneros (read the comments of his FRIENDS). Anxiously waiting to hear from Supervisor Molina.

Now that we Mr. Cisneros’ friends have made it clear that the subject photo is not newsworthy or that the photo/comment was not inappropriate…..Let us move on. A more important question to ask Mr. Cisneros is what is his opinion on the recent ruling regarding teacher tenure? Will Mr. Cisneros support the teachers (unions) who $upported his campaign? OR will he represent the PEOPLE and students? Mr. Cisneros, your position in this matter is of most importance?

At the very least it shows this guy has absolutely no class.

At the worst it suggests he is a pervert for taking pictures of young boys (his son or not) in the bathroom.

Has it been proven this is in fact his son? Not that it makes a difference – sill SICK!

How about if this was a teacher, at school, with a student???

Was this picture taken with a cell phone provided for or paid for with tax payer dollars (i.e. district provided phone or cell phone allowance)?

I am shocked that anyone would defend a “man”–and I use the term loosely–who would disgrace his own son in the eyes of the general public and resort to using foul language as well. I had never heard of Mr. Cisneros before reading this article, but it is undisputed that a member of a school board is a public official and must be beyond reproach to an even greater extent than others.

A parent’s job is to protect and nurture his children–not to publicly humiliate them when they have committed no wrong and then pretend that to do so is funny. Mr. Cisneros owes an apology to all users of Facebook, the people of Montebello, and particularly his son, the innocent victim in this incident. He is clearly not fit to serve the public or to make decisions about education and should immediately resign his position.

One of the comments suggests that his wife defended his actions. If this is so, neither is fit to raise a child. Child Protective Services needs to step in and remove the boy from this abusive household.

The actions of Cisneros are totally outrageous.

I do not know this school board member, but I am a resident and voter in Montebello.

Here is a SIMPLE QUESTION to all the people who posted comments supporting/defending Mr. Cisneros:

Would you post a photo of your OWN adolescent son in a public bathroom, with other people possibly present, and then post the photo on Facebook with this notation about your child and the situation:

“Haha. Field level seats and the Dodgers played nowhere near as good as this piss my kid took so this was the best pic I had to post Enrique Vega.”

    Answer: Edgar Cisneros

Don’t blame anyone other than Edgar Cisneros

    GREAT REPORTING

If Mr. Cisneros was so “proud” of his Facebook posting of his small child standing in front of a urinal, then why did he take it down right after this article was published by Hews Media?

Cisneros is an elected school board member, he is not
“just some Dodger fan.” I wonder what his fellow school board members think, as well as Supervisor Molina.

I am disappointed and outraged that a member of a school district board of trustees would subject his son to such a display of public indecency. Mrs. Jessica Cisneros (his wife?) thinks he should have a free pass because of his past community contributions, is she kidding?
This is a small vulnerable boy who has been betrayed by his father and the child protection authorities need to get involved.
Time to remove Edgar Cisneros from the Montebello Unified Board of Education.
