Suspect Alexander Michael Arrested After Three Stabbings on Mystic Avenue

Late Saturday evening June 21, 2014, deputies from Norwalk Sheriff’s Station responded to an Assault with a Deadly Weapon call for service in the 14100 block of Mystic Street, unincorporated Whittier. When they arrived at the location they discovered a man and two women suffering from stab wounds. The victims were all identified as the suspect’s family members (mother, father and sister).

The victims told the deputies that the suspect, identified as 34 year-old Alexander Michael, was possibly under the influence of narcotics and was arguing with the family.

According to the victims, the suspect began stabbing his father several times. When the mother and the sister tried to intervene, an attempt to stop the assault, they too sustained several stab wounds. All victims were transported to a local hospital and are expected to survive their injuries

The suspect ran to the shed in a rear yard where he barricaded himself while armed with a knife. As a result of the suspect refusing to comply with the patrol deputies, a special weapons team was requested. The suspect later complied and surrendered to deputies without incident.

Suspect Alexander Michael was booked at Norwalk Sheriff’s Station for Attempt Murder and Assault with a Deadly Weapon and is being held in lieu of one million dollars.
