Lakewood: The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Detectives have arrested Angie Diamond, daughter of victim Margaret Rion, at her home in Los Angeles, for the murder of Ms. Rion.
The murder took place in Lakewood in an apartment complex on Wednesday night.
The suspect told detectives that she murdered the victim following a verbal dispute. The murder weapons, a hammer and knife, were recovered at the victim’s residence. Diamond was booked at Century Regional Detention Facility for murder and is being held in lieu of $1,000,000 bail.
Detectives learned that, on Tuesday, May 27th, deputies from Lakewood Sheriff’s Station responded to the location and were met by a relative who found the victim inside the residence unresponsive. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene but the nature of her death remains in question.
