Carol Coronado, 30, Arrested In Grisly Triple Murder on West 223rd Street

Members of the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department have announced that Carol Coronado, a 30-year old female Hispanic is the suspect who was arrested in the the death of 3-female juveniles in the 1000 block of West 223rd Street, unincorporated Torrance on Tuesday night. 

Detectives have learned that at approximately 5:10PM, Tuesday, Sheriff’s Deputies from Carson Station received a rescue call at the location. When they arrived, they were met by family members who told the deputies that a mother had killed her children. The deputies made entry into the residence where they located the three juvenile victims, ranging in approximate age of 3-years to 2-months-old. The suspect, and mother of the children, was located adjacent to the victims. She was immediately detained. 

The three victims were pronounced dead at the scene. 

Deputies arrested and transported the suspect to a local hospital for examination. The suspect was subsequently transported to Carson Sheriff’s Station where she will be booked for 187 PC, Murder. 

The crime scene and investigation are active and ongoing. Local residents are advised that the area at 223rd Street at Meylers Street will be closed for both pedestrian and vehicle traffic through most of the night. Please take alternative routes.
