According to media reports, including from KABC-LA, a family from Ratcliffe, Texas claims they have in fact captured the mythical chupacabra, a legendary cryptid rumored to inhabit parts of the Americas, with the first sightings reported in Puerto Rico.

An expert in cryptozoology stated the legend of “El Chupacabra” began when goats and chickens started turning up dead in Puerto Rico in the 1990’s, drained of blood and with indicative puncture wounds in their necks but otherwise completely intact. The translation of “El Chupacabra” is “goat sucker”, reports have spread from Puerto Rico into the United States. Having become a worldwide sensation as an urban legend the Chupacabra has taken hold of imaginations worldwide.

Reporter Janelle Bludau stated in her report that local residents Jackie Stock and her husband are certain they’ve captured the chupacabra Sunday night, alive. According to Stock, “He called me to come and look, and I said, ‘Bubba, that looks like a baby chupacabra.”

Experts state that most would describe it as a gray, lizard-like creature about 3 to 4 feet tall that walks upright on its muscular hind legs, similar to an archetypical alien.

However, others describe the beast as looking more like a giant, vicious kangaroo or disfigured coyote. With its hairless back, large claws, countless teeth and ferocious growl, many would say this animal fits the bill.
