Giovanni Chaidez, Rosibel Montoya Identified As Pedestrians Killed In Tragic Accident on Rosecrans Avenue

Family and friends are grieving the loss of two young local Norwalk adults who were tragically killed while walking across Rosecrans Avenue early Saturday morning.

Hews Media Group-Community Newspaper has learned that Giovanni Xavier Chaidez, age 23, and Rosibel Montoya, 20 lost their lives after they were hit by a truck while crossing the street.  The two were in a committed relationship.

The incident occurred in the 13000 block of Rosecrans Avenue shortly after midnight.

Both Chaidez and Montoya were apparently walking with their bicycles when they were struck. The two were a couple and friends posted photos of them both at the location where their lives tragically came to an end on.

As of Monday morning, candles, flowers and a white spray painted bicycle was placed at a Memorial in honor of the couple. 

One of the notes simply stated, “Together Forever.”  

Accident photos also taken at the scene from journalists show a badly damaged black Ford F-150 that also struck several additional parked cars along Rosecrans Avenue.

Lt. Kevin Biggs, with the Norwalk Sheriff’s Department told HMG-CN that investigators are still finalizing an official incident report on the tragic incident.

“We should have the report completed by Friday, and until then we have no comment on the matter,” Biggs said.

    I am so sorry for your familys loss,I visited rosibel’s resting place yesterday while I was visiting my grandmother I seen her memorial on YouTube and felt really bad for them both,I played some music she liked to show my respects I’m a musician and she likes alot of artist I like,well may they both R.I.P and eternally my they be together,feel free to comment back I will continue to show my respects to rosibel as I visit my family and friends who are resting there as well.

I keep thinking you’re gonna show up at my house laughing with that amazing smile and we’re going to play some bob marley hiking in the San Gabriel mtns or somewhere chill.
