plane crashThis is BREAKING NEWS!

A plane crash landed on the beach at Portuguese Bend, Rancho Palos Verdes on Friday afternoon. The beach is near the northwestern edge of the Trump Golf Course, adjacent to the Portuguese Bend residential area. The aircraft is upside down at the water line.  LACoFD Baywatch Lifeguards and Firefighter Paramedics report the pilot is the sole occupant of the plane and has minor injuries, is alert, and talking.

Initial reports are that the plane was towing an advertising banner.  Lomita Sheriff’s Station polices the Cities of Lomita, Rancho Palos Verdes, Rolling Hills, and Rolling Hills Estates, as well as the unincorporated communities of Academy Hill, La Rambla, Palos Verdes Peninsula, and Westfield:

This is my former homeland, when raised as teen and adult.

This section of Portuguese Bend was closed few yrs ago, as the road slid in to the ocean. Back in the 90’s, some sections of this beach, was unofficially designated clothing optional or nude beach, but now closed. Famous Glass Church is above the Portuguese Bend section off PV Penn.

Vanderlips estate is above this beach, as were one of the founders of developing PV back in the early 1900s. Verderlips migrated from NY. Vanderlips also brought many wild animals to PV. Deceased Helen Vanderlip is long personal friend.

Two star employees for Cerritos, live in Palos Verdes, ACM: K Matsumoto and new Sheriff Captain, K Swennson who was raised in Cerritos, now lives in RPV.

Beaches surrounding PV Penn are home to many homicides, suicides, boat and plane crashes, along with drop off pts for smugglers. Famous Russian grain shipped crashed in to a PV during heavy fog in late 50’s; still remnants can be seen below Lunda Bay, PV.

This plane crashed at Portuguese Bend Club (PBC) to the locals. It is not closed, but it is private, gated beach club. It is open to members of the club. PV is not a huge crime area as represented by the previous poster.

Not mistaken, PBC is a controlled & redlined area, as banks will not give mortgages to Property Owners. Additionally, PBC does not have full underground utilities servicing the properties.

Neighborhood Pre School, north of PBC was closed due to crime and nude beach.

Would consider the entire PV coastline an extremely hi crime areas, when you take in all of the following, as most cities do not have this type of crime scenes:
      1. Jump and fall suicides from Cliffs.
      2. Crashing-dumping of cars off of the cliffs.
      3. Homeless camps in caves.
      4. Smuggling off of the docked shore party yachts.
      5. Filming of X rated photos along the cliffs.
      6. Surfer and scuba diving deaths.
      7. Illegal Fishing off of the cliffs w/ no licensing.
      8. School run-a-ways who hide in cliffs.
      9. Airplane crashes along coastline.
      10. Shot gun suicides on cliffs and caves.
      11. Illegal Poaching of sea life.
      12. Arsonists who start wild life fires.
      13. Illegal trigger shooting off of rocks.
      14. Hide, drop and run drug sales.
      15. Reporting date rapes.
      16. Graffiti on rocks.
      17. Trumps illegal RE signs.
      18. Illegal dumping of waist and manure along cliffs.
      19. PV is home to one of the counties highest white crime- and drug usage.
      20. PV is home to many illegal in house gambling and white collar house wife prostitution.
