La Mirada Crime Report for June 17 to 23

 

The following data and information regarding current crimes in La Mirada has been provided by the City of La Mirada Public Safety Department.  This is for the week of June 17 thru June 23.

Aggravated Assault: An assault was reported on the 15100 block of Granada Ave. A suspect was taken into custody at the location by responding deputies.

Residential Burglary: Four residential burglaries were reported last week. They included a burglary occurred on the 13800 block of Foster Rd. Various jewelry was taken from the home. Jewelry was stolen from a residence on the 14600 block of Dunnet Avenue and Laptop computers and a guitar were reported stolen from a home on the 12900 block of Clearwood Ave.  Also, a burglary to an attached garage was reported on the 14400 block of La Fonda Dr. Athletic equipment was stolen from the residence.

Vehicle Burglary

Thirteen vehicle burglaries were reported last week, seven of which were window smash burglaries. Residents are encouraged take valuables with them or keep them out of view when leaving their vehicle unattended.

Gift cards and an electronic device were stolen in an incident on the16100 block of Rosecrans Ave.

The rear door locks of a trailer were cut in an incident on the 15100 block of Northam St. There was no loss in the incident.

An incident was reported on the 12800 block of La Mirada Blvd. A purse containing valuables was taken.

An incident occurred on the 14200 block of Firestone Blvd. A laptop and gym bag were taken in the incident.

The front driver’s side window of a vehicle was smashed on the 14900 block of Gagely Dr. Vehicle registration and maintenance paperwork were taken.

An incident was reported on the 14400 block of Elmbrook Dr. Vehicle registration was taken in the incident.

Two incidents were reported on the 14700 block of Roma Dr. A purse containing cash was stolen from one vehicle, and a car stereo face plate from the other.

A purse containing a wallet and cell phone were taken in an incident on the 13300 block of Beach Blvd.

A laptop and tablet were stolen in a window smash burglary on the 13000 block of La Mancha St.

An incident was reported on the 13100 block of Los Alisos St. A briefcase containing documents was taken.

A bag of sports equipment was stolen from the 14500 block of Jalon Rd.

An incident was reported on the 14900 block of Imperial Hwy. A purse containing credit cards was taken.

Grand Theft: A grand theft was reported in a shopping center parking lot on the 15800 block of Imperial Hwy. Various electronics were taken from an unlocked vehicle at the location.

Public Safety Fair – This Saturday, June 29, 2013: An Emergency Preparedness and Public Safety Fair sponsored by the La Mirada Home Depot in partnership with the City of La Mirada Public Safety Team will be held on Saturday, June 29 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will be held in the Home Depot parking lot at 12300 La Mirada Blvd., La Mirada, Ca 90638.

The event will feature crafts, games, and fingerprinting for kids, food, prizes, and an opportunity to meet your local Firefighters and Sheriff’s Deputies. The American Red Cross will also be in attendance providing information on disaster preparedness. Families of all ages are invited to attend.
