Car Pursuit Ends With Suspect Car Going Through Camp Pendleton Gates

(Camp Pendleton, CA)  A high-speed pursuit has concluded at Camp Pendleton with the suspect getting out of his his car and he casually walked away from officers from the California Highway Patrol before being arrested early Thursday morning.  

It was a bizarre chase that began in San Bernardino County and it wound through Orange County and Los Angeles County.

The suspects car literally drove through the front entrance gate at the military facility. The suspect then got out of his car and casually walked more than 200 feet away from his vehicle while patrol officers watched.

The suspect was hit with either a taser gun or a bean bag shot and dropped to the ground.  He was taken into custody near the barracks in Camp Pendleton.

The entire chase was captured on CBS 2 News in Southern California.

The wild ride began at around 4:15 a.m. and ended at 5:50 a.m. and speeds well over 100 miles per hour.
