Latin Music Star Jenni Rivera feared dead after plane crash.

Latin music sensation Jenni Rivera, a native of Long Beach, has apparently been killed in a tragic plane crash in Mexico on Sunday.
Rivera was a passenger on a small jet and sources are saying that at approximately 3:25 am with two pilots and five passengers including Rivera lost contact with air traffic controllers near Iturbide, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.
The plane had apparently taken off from Monterey about 10 minutes earlier.
All passengers were confirmed dead by Mexican authorities when the wreckage was found later on Sunday.
Rivera was born in Long Beach to her parents who were Mexican immigrants. Rivera and her four brothers and sister (including Lupillo Rivera were raised in a “tight-knit” musical household.
While attending Long Beach Poly High School, she became pregnant with the first of her five children, and eventually married the child’s father, José Trinidad Marín in 2006. Marín was convicted of raping Rivera’s daughter and a sister-in-law.
“Growing up in Long Beach, I learned to face the world. I also learned that I wanted more for myself and wanted to become something,” Rivera told a local newspaper.

Rivera sold over 15 million albums worldwide and was nominated at the 2003, 2008 and 2010 for Latin Grammy’s.
A successful regional Mexican artist and entrepreneur, she started many companies, including Divina Realty, Divina Cosmetics, Jenni Rivera Fragrance, Jenni Jeans, Divine Music and The Jenni Rivera Love Foundation.
Rivera became the first female Banda artist to sell-out a concert at the world famous Gibson Amphitheater in Universal City, California and became the first artist to sell-out two back-to-back nights at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles in August of 2010.

Rivera was a producer on the Mun2 reality TV show Chiquis & Raq-C, featuring her oldest daughter Janney Marin. She then appeared in the spin-off show I Love Jenni.
Rivera worked as coach in the second season of the Mexican talent show LaVoz Mexico, based on “The Voice” franchise.
After divorcing José Trinidad Marín, Rivera married Juan Lopez and had two children with him. They divorced in 2003, and Lopez died in 2009.
Rivera then married baseball player Esteban Loaiza on September 8, 2010, according to reports, divorce papers were filed on Monday, October 1, 2012. The statement released by Rivera’s reps stated that the divorce was due to “irreconcilable differences on behalf of both parties derived from private circumstances that occurred during the lapse of their two-year marriage.” On August 6, 2010,
Rivera was named spokeswoman for the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence. A proclamation was given “officially naming” August 6 “Jenni Rivera Day” by the Los Angeles City Council for all her charity work and involvement in the community.
Several of Rivera’s fans took to social network sites on Sunday expressing shock and sadness.
