Norwalk Sheriff Detectives are reaching out to the local community in efforts to identify a theft suspect from the Cerritos and Norwalk areas who targeted automatic bank machines.
In a statement to members of the media on Thursday morning, the thefts took place between June 22nd and June 26th between the hours of 1:45 and 6:30 p.m., at two different locations. One of the locations was at 18712 South Gridley Road in Cerritos and the other at 12521 ½ Alondra Boulevard in Norwalk.
Detective Jaquez told Los Cerritos Community Newspaper that the suspect went to various Wells Fargo ATM machines in Norwalk and Cerritos and used the victim’s ATM debit card, with her pin number and obtained a total of $1260.00.
“The victim does not recognize the suspect and does not know how he obtained her pin number,” Jaquez said.
The suspect is described as a Male Hispanic, 25 to 30 years of age, weighing between 190 and 200 pounds, with an approximate eight to ten inch scar on his right elbow, and wearing a dark colored baseball hat, and a light colored shirt. It is not known what type of vehicle the suspect is using, or if he is in possession on any weapons.
