Members of the Norwalk Sheriff’s Department have cordoned off a neighborhood at Excelsior Drive and Studebaker Road in search of two suspected home burglary suspects.

Sheriff’s have blocked off several streets in the area around the 14700 block of Dumont Street beginning around 2:30 p.m.

A spokesman for the Norwalk Sheriff’s told Los Cerritos Community Newspaper that a command post has been established at a nearby park. Several Norwalk Sheriff squad cars could be seen blocking off key streets around that neighborhood that is immediately to the east of the 605 Freeway.

A Los Angeles County Sheriff’s helicopter was circling the location as neighbors watched the situation unfold.
