The La Puente High School Athletic program has been rocked by allegation of hazing that may have crossed the line.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Detectives are being aggressive over the hazing claims and on Saturday night it was announced that the the Special Victims Bureau are now “actively investigating allegations of hazing within a varsity sports program at La Puente High School.”

“The hazing incidents have gone on for several years and may have risen to the level of a crime. At this point there is no information to indicate that any member of faculty or coaching staff were directly involved,” said Sergeant Al Fraijo of the elite Special Victims Bureau.

The name of the team or sport under the probe at La Puente High School has not been disclosed by SVB officials.
