Powder Puff Football Comes to Gahr High School

Once very popular in the nation’s schools Powder Puff Football was revived at Gahr High School Mar. 16 in a game between senior girls and members of the Freshman, Sophomore and Junior Classes. The all girl game took a surprise turn of events when the lower classmates took a 21-0 lead in the first two quarters of the game. However, in the third quarter the seniors scored four touchdowns to win 28-21. The game was organized by class advisors Christina and Scott Moreau. On the field Gahr Principal Gina Sietlow was one of the referees. Asked if this was the first annual Power Puff Football game, she replied, “We’ll have to wait until next year to see. It depends if the girls are interested. Above are members of both teams.
